Tyler Anderson Agrees With Dodgers
Tyler Anderson agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday, according to a source familiar with the situation. FanSided's Robert Murray later reported that the deal was for one year and $8 million. The 32-year-old left-hander spent the 2021 season with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Seattle Mariners, posting a 4.53 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 134:38 K:BB in 31 starts covering 167 innings. Anderson doesn't strike out many batters (career 7.8 K/9), but he makes up for it with great command and ground-ball tendencies. The southpaw could factor into a back-end starting rotation spot if Trevor Bauer stays on administrative leave into the regular season, but there isn't much fantasy upside in Anderson's profile, even while pitching for the Dodgers.
