Ty Johnson 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Hoping to Replicate an Efficient Season
Buffalo Bills running back Ty Johnson's 2024 campaign was a relative success. He played all 17 games and crested 400 total yards for just the second time in his six-year career. Johnson also found the end zone four times, helping him earn an RB50 finish in PPR formats. Perhaps most importantly, Johnson was efficient. He averaged 1.39 fantasy points per opportunity, ranking second among running backs. Unfortunately, he enters his third season with Buffalo behind both James Cook and Ray Davis on the depth chart. While Cook is in a contract dispute with the organization, he did report to the team for mandatory minicamp. Davis also will continue to grow as a sophomore now. Johnson will need to be effective in the passing game again, and he will also have to repeat his efficiency from 2024 to make the most of his limited touches on the ground. Johnson has an ADP of RB107. He is one of the best dart throws in that late range, but expectations should be tempered due to the depth chart situation in Buffalo. Expect Johnson's per opportunity production to regress to the mean a bit, but he should still be a top-100 RB.
