Ty Blach Re-Signs With Rockies
12 months agoLeft-hander Ty Blach re-signed with the Colorado Rockies on a minor-league deal on Thursday, according to a source. The deal includes an invitation to big-league spring training. Blach had an opportunity to go and pitch in the Korean Baseball Organization as well but chose to stay in the Rockies organization. The 33-year-old left-hander hasn't been very great for Colorado the last two years, combining for a 4-3 record, 5.66 ERA (4.99 FIP), 1.55 WHIP, 35 walks and 79 strikeouts in 44 appearances (14 starts) covering 122 1/3 innings. Blach won't be on the fantasy radar at all and will be providing the Rockies with starting and relief depth in 2024. Blach has a career 5.18 ERA (4.57 FIP) and 1.47 WHIP in six big-league seasons with the Rockies, San Francisco Giants and Baltimore Orioles.
