Troy Pride Could Earn Starting Snaps For Panthers Defense
4 years agoCarolina Panthers rookie cornerback Troy Pride showed out in practice on Friday with multiple pass breakups while also helping to force an interception. Pride even earned praise from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. James Bradberry is no longer in Carolina, so Pride could earn snaps across from Donte Jackson in the team's secondary in 2020. The Panthers spent all of their draft picks on the defensive side of the ball this year as they look to rebuild with linebacker Luke Kuechly retiring, so it'll be a work in progress, especially in the tough NFC South. Their run defense from a year ago can't be much worse, but you should avoid them in fantasy.
