Tristan Jarry Collects His First Shutout
2 years agoPittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry found a way to maneuver to his first shutout of the season Saturday, stopping 32 shots in a 4-0 win over Winnipeg. This was a tough matchup for Jarry and the Penguins, with the Jets having made a very good start to the season, but it turned out to be an easy night in the end for the visitors. Jarry took his record for the year to 6-3-2, and he now has a 3.27 goals-against average with a .904 save percentage. His numbers have been greatly affected by Pittsburgh's recent seven-game slide. However, the team has started to pick up pace again and Sunday's matchup against Chicago offers a great opportunity to notch a third consecutive victory. Casey DeSmith, who is 2-4-1 for the campaign, should be the starter there.
