Trey Lance Good To Go Against Lions
3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie quarterback Trey Lance (finger) is without an injury designation on the team's final injury report for Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, which is an indication that he's good to go for his first NFL contest. Lance was limited in practice all week, but he should be on the active roster this weekend. The 21-year-old first-rounder jammed his right hand and suffered a chip fracture on one of his fingers two weeks ago. Veteran Jimmy Garoppolo will enter the year as the starter under center, but Lance figures to be involved in the offense in some capacity. However, it remains to be seen how much playing time Lance will actually see. For now, he's an excellent dynasty/keeper asset and is worth a bench stash in two-QB leagues in case he takes over for Jimmy G at any point.
