Trevor Cahill Pounded In Old Stomping Grounds
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Trevor Cahill made the start Monday against the Oakland Athletics, his former team. It was another forgettable outing, as he coughed up six earned runs, six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in just 4 1/3 innings to slip to 2-5 while his ERA ballooned to 6.92. More alarming is that Cahill allowed two more homers, giving him 16 home runs allowed in just 53 1/3 innings across 11 starts and 12 appearances overall. He'll look to keep the ball in the yard in his next scheduled start Saturday in Seattle, but he cannot be trusted in most fantasy formats right now.
