3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receivers Tre'Quan Smith (chest) and Ty Montgomery (back) both missed practice on Thursday. It was Smith's second straight day on the sidelines, while Montgomery was added to the injury report on Thursday. Two straight missed practices for Smith doesn't bode well for his chances of playing on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Both Smith and Montgomery will likely have to practice on Friday in order to play in Week 17. Deonte Harris is still suspended, so Marquez Callaway, Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Kenny Stills would operate in three-wide sets if Smith and Montgomery weren't able to play this weekend. Callaway has been the best fantasy receiver in New Orleans, but he's merely on the WR4/5 borderline in the Saints run-first offense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
