Trayce Thompson Scratched From Lineup Thursday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Trayce Thompson (personal) has been scratched from the starting lineup on Thursday against the division-rival San Diego Padres due to a personal issue. Manager Dave Roberts said Thompson will be away from the team for a day, so he could return on Friday. With Thompson out, Miguel Vargas will get the start in left field and will bat seventh in the lineup against Padres right-handed opener Steven Wilson. Vargas will be a low-upside DFS play on Thursday night. The 22-year-old Cuban rookie will be playing in just his 13th major-league game. In his 39 at-bats so far, he has just seven hits (a homer) and five RBI.
