Trayce Thompson Begins Rehab Assignment
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Trayce Thompson (oblique) started a minor-league rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Friday night and went 2-for-5 while playing all nine innings in center field. Thompson will play in several more rehab games before being eligible to return from the injured list in early August. The 32-year-old veteran hasn't appeared in the big leagues since June 3 and was hitting just .155/.310/.366 with five home runs, 14 RBI and 12 runs scored in 36 games before his injury, so fantasy managers in mixed leagues can continue to ignore him when he returns. At best, Thompson will be an option against left-handed pitchers when he's in LA's lineup in deep-mixed and NL-only leagues.
