Travis Lakins Sr. Undergoes Successful Surgery
Travis Lakins Sr. (elbow) had successful surgery to fix a recurrent olecranon stress fracture in his right elbow. The surgery was performed by Dr. Steve Shin on Tuesday. Lakins wasn't a fantasy option to begin with and was injured in his first start of the season when he was removed from the game after walking three of the six hitters he faced. The 27-year-old is unlikely to play again this season after the surgery and has a career-high 5.79 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 24/17 K/BB in 24 appearances (one start) over 28 innings pitched.
