Travis Lakins Sr. Dealing With Elbow Discomfort
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Travis Lakins Sr. (elbow) left his start early on Tuesday against the Houston Astros with right elbow discomfort. Lakins allowed an earned run on one hit while walking three and hitting a batter in just 1 2/3 frames before departing the contest. The outing raised his ERA to 5.79 on the season and his WHIP to 1.42 in 28 innings of work over 24 appearances, with Tuesday's outing being his only start of the season. Lakins has now struck out 24 and walked 17 in 2021. The extent of his elbow injury is still unknown, but Lakins will be a poor fantasy streamer if the Orioles give him another start down the line.
