Tony Gonsolin Tabbed As Starter For Thursday
Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin (shoulder) will be activated Thursday and get the start against the St. Louis Cardinals, according to manager Dave Roberts. The 27-year-old has battled shoulder inflammation this season, including two separate stints on the injured list, and has been on the shelf since July 31. The return of the right-hander will also push starting pitcher Julio Urias' next start to Friday against the San Diego Padres. While Gonsolin was a sleeper candidate entering 2021, he holds little value for the remainder of the campaign as his workload will surely be limited.
