Tony Finau Has Uneven History At Mayakoba
6 years agoTony Finau is in the field for the upcoming Mayakoba Classic. The young superstar will once again be one of the favorites to win the tournament. It will be his fourth start of the new season. Finau turned in a somewhat underwhelming performance at last week's Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, finishing in a tie for 36th place. His greatest asset is his length off the tee, but that advantage will be somewhat muted at El Camaleon. It's a course that puts a premium on accuracy, rather than distance. Finau has had mixed results in two Mayakoba appearances, logging a T7 in 2015 and missing the cut in 2017. He will be a popular DFS option this week, even with his steep price tag.
