Titans Sign Bud Dupree To Five-Year Deal
4 years agoThe Tennessee Titans signed former Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher Bud Dupree to a five-year deal with a maximum value of $85 million. Dupree will make $16.5 million per year with $35 million guaranteed. The 28-year-old played on the franchise tag in 2020 and was lost for the season with a torn ACL in his knee. Before his injury, he had eight sacks in 11 games after he had a career-high 11.5 sacks in 2019. The 2015 first-rounder will take on more of a lead role for the Titans Defense. Tennessee gave him some help on Monday by signing former Colts defensive lineman Denico Autry to a three-year deal. The Titans had just 25 sacks last season, so they'll be banking on the combination of Dupree and Autry to help them increase those numbers.
