Tigers Calling Up Parker Meadows
1 year agoThe Detroit Tigers will call up outfield prospect Parker Meadows from Triple-A Toledo on Monday, and he'll be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game. Meadows is the team's No. 10 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and he earns the call-up to the Show after hitting .256/.337/.474 with an .812 OPS, 19 home runs, 27 doubles, seven triples, 65 RBI, 19 stolen bases and 78 runs scored in 113 games for Toledo this year. The 23-year-old left-handed hitter should play fairly regularly in Detroit down the stretch, making him worth a pickup in deeper fantasy leagues for his power/speed combination. Meadows has the speed to play center field, but he's most likely to stick in a corner-outfield spot in the long term.
