New York Islanders goaltender Thomas Greiss stopped all 31 shots he faced in Monday's 2-0 shutout victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets. It was the fifth shutout of the season for the German backstop, as he helped the Islanders improve to 16-8-1 against Metropolitan Division foes. Greiss is holding down the fort rather nicely with Robin Lehner (upper body) considered day to day. Lehner was injured in a collision last time out, although he has participated in on-ice work in each of the past two days. The Islanders return to action Thursday against Montreal in a key game with plenty of playoff ramifications in the Eastern Conference.--Daniel Dobish
