The Chicago Cubs announced on Tuesday that Theo Epstein will step down as president of baseball operations on Nov. 20. Jed Hoyer will be named to the role as his replacement. Epstein will leave the organization after nine years with the team. The Cubs under Epstein recorded 505 regular season wins since 2015, which is second-most in the National League and third-most in the majors behind only the Dodgers (528) and Astros (510). Chicago is one of just four teams to make at least five playoff appearances in the last six years, joining the Dodgers, Yankees and Astros. The 46-year-old Epstein joined the Cubs in 2011 and led them to a 2016 World Series championship, ending the organization's 108-year title drought. Epstein won World Series titles with the Red Sox in 2004 and 2007 before joining the Cubs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
