Texans Hopeful Nico Collins Will Practice This Week
2 years agoHouston Texans head coach Lovie Smith is hopeful that wide receiver Nico Collins (groin) will be able to practice this week. Collins has missed the last two games with his groin injury, but it sounds like he could have a shot at returning in Week 10 to face the New York Giants. We'll keep a close eye on his practice status this week. The situation also remains unclear with Brandin Cooks, who was held out of last Thursday's game due to personal reasons. If Collins is able to return and Cooks continues to sit out, Collins would operate as the top pass-catcher for quarterback Davis Mills. However, it's been hard to trust anyone in the Texans offense in fantasy this year beyond rookie running back Dameon Pierce. Collins has 18 catches (30 targets) for 305 yards and no scores in six games in his second NFL season.
