Texans Cut Pharaoh Brown
2 years agoThe Houston Texans are cutting tight end Pharaoh Brown on Tuesday, according to sources. Brown didn't play in the Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers due to hip and shoulder injuries and signed a one-year, $3 million guaranteed contract in the offseason. Through three games played this year, he caught seven of his 10 targets for 72 yards, and he has 46 career catches for 433 yards and two touchdowns in 42 games (31 starts) in five NFL seasons with the Texans, Raiders and Browns. The 28-year-old has mostly been a blocker in his career, so if he resurfaces with another team, he's unlikely to have much, if any, fantasy appeal. Brevin Jordan (ankle) has missed the last two games for Houston, but they also have O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins at the position.
