Terrence Gore Turns On The Jets
5 years agoKansas City Royals "outfielder" Terrence Gore is retained for his speed on the basepaths, but he got off to a slow start this season, so to speak. As of May 28, Gore had swiped five bags, but he's also been caught five times. That's not a ratio that leads to more playing time. Since May 29 though, Gore is a perfect 7-for-7 on stolen base attempts, including four in the last three days. Without Adalberto Mondesi (groin) around, it appears manager Ned Yost has decided to lean heavily on Gore to fulfill his SB quota. Gore's obviously only got value in deep leagues since he accounts for basically nothing but steals, but for those who are feeling bold, he could be a valuable short-term addition.
