Teddy Bridgewater Still Carolina's QB
4 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule and general manager Scott Fitterer continue to say that quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is the team's QB, but Fitterer told reporters on Wednesday that team brass previously met with Bridgewater and divulged that the QB was made available in trade talks with one team. "Teddy is our quarterback... he's a total pro," Fitterer said. With the eighth overall pick in the upcoming draft, Carolina could select their signal-caller of the future. The Panthers could also swing a blockbuster trade to acquire Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, but that's just a rumor for now. Bridgewater had a career-high 15 touchdowns in his first year in Carolina, but he also had 11 interceptions and was too inconsistent for fantasy managers to stomach.
