Teddy Bridgewater Engineers Huge Upset Over Cowboys
3 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater led one of the most improbable upsets of the NFL season on Sunday in a 30-16 Week 9 win over the Dallas Cowboys on the road. Bridgewater went 19-for-28 for 249 yards and a touchdown and he added a touchdown run on a QB sneak. He also converted a two-point conversion on a pass to receiver Courtland Sutton. The 28-year-old looked great throwing the ball deeper down the field on Sunday, but he wasn't needed that much in the second half with the team eventually getting out to a 30-0 lead. It was a second straight game with no turnovers for Bridgewater after a rough-three game stretch, but he still has just two 300-yard passing games on the season and will be more of a midrange to low-end QB2 in this low-volume passing attack.
