Tampa Bay Rays reliever Sergio Romo struggled but earned a save versus the Athletics Tuesday. He came into the game in the ninth inning with a three-run lead and would surrender two before getting out of the inning for a 4-3 victory. It was his first save of the season. He has recently started multiple games as part of a recent experiment of using relievers to start games for the Rays when it is not the spot of the rotation for their few quality starters. Romo has no value as a starter but if he earns even half of the remaining saves for the Rays, there will be leagues where he is a waiver wire add.--Jamie Mellor
