Ottawa Senators defenseman Travis Hamonic is set to extend his stay with the team after agreeing to a two-year, $2.2 million contract. The 32-year-old was an unrestricted free agent after spending the last season and a half with the Senators. But he had a good year in 2022-23 and the two sides were able to work out a new deal. Hamonic posted 21 points in 75 games with 143 blocks and 109 hits last season. Senators general manager Pierre Dorion has called Hamonic a "key component" of the team, so he looks set to continue to play a significant role for Ottawa in 2023-24.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
