Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea took the loss on Friday in a 7-1 game against the Diamondbacks. The lefty surrendered six runs on eight hits and two walks with two strikeouts in just 3 2/3 innings. Manaea was fantastic through his first six starts of the season but has come crashing back to earth in his last five, going 1-3 with a massive 7.18 ERA in 26 1/3 innings pitched. Manaea still has a strong 3.34 ERA for the season, but a 4.04 FIP and an extremely low .225 BABIP suggest that he has been lucky thus far and has more negative regression to come. While it may be too late, fantasy owners may be wise to attempt to sell high on the starter while his season stats still look appealing. Manaea will look to right the ship in on Wednesday against the Rays.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
