Sandy Alcantara Demolished Again On Tuesday
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara (2-3) had another brutal start on Tuesday, allowing seven runs over 2 ⅔ innings in a 15-2 loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Alcantara allowed seven hits and five walks while recording just two strikeouts. It's been a horrendous start to the season for the 29-year-old, who now carries an 8.31 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, and 19:17 K:BB ratio across 26 IP. The walks are up, the strikeouts are down, and Alcantara seems to be off early in the season. Part of that could be him working his way back from Tommy John surgery, which cost him all of the 2024 season. He should be held onto in most fantasy formats because of his upside, but he needs to be on the bench until he performs. Alcantara's next start should come next Monday and will once again be against the Dodgers, making him an easy sit.
