Sharks And Golden Knights Start Round 2 Thursday
7 years agoRound 1 matchups for the Pacific Division proved to be unexciting, with the San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights sweeping the Anaheim Ducks and the LA Kings, respectively. On Thursday, we get the Pacific Division matchup the hockey world has been waiting for, as the Sharks will travel to Vegas for the first two games of Round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs. According to the expert picks at NHL.com, the Sharks are favored to win this series, and rightfully so. Sharks goalie coach, Johan Hedberg, laid out some keys to cracking Marc Andre-Fleury. The Sharks will have to focus on moving the puck laterally to the slot and make Fleury move. San Jose also needs to take full advantage of the odd-man rush, where Fleury has given up 49 of his last 100 goals (league average 38.5 percent). If the Sharks can continue to produce goals the way they did against Anaheim, they should have a problem taking it to Vegas in Round 2.
