Sam Darnold Efficient In Vikings Debut
3 months agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold helped lead the team to a resounding victory against the New York Giants in Week 1. The journeyman was very efficient in Sunday's matchup, completing 19 of his 24 pass attempts for 208 yards and two touchdowns. He did throw for an interception, though it was due to being hit as he threw rather than poor decision-making, a staple of his previous stints with other teams. The Giants defense did not put up much of a fight throughout the game and Darnold wasn't asked to do a lot of passing in the fourth quarter. If the 27-year-old quarterback continues sound decision-making and pocket presence through the season, he may be a viable starting, matchup-dependent option in fantasy. Dalton will look to build on Sunday’s performance in Week 2 in a tough matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.
