Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Picks Up Three Points Against Red Wings
2 years agoEdmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a game-high three points in Wednesday's high-scoring 5-4 shootout loss to Detroit. He scored a pair of second-period goals and posted a power-play assist in the third period. Nugent-Hopkins became the team's fourth player this season with 25-plus goals, which makes Edmonton the first team with four 25-goal scorers through the first 55 games of a season since the 1991-92 Pittsburgh Penguins. Nugent-Hopkins has been very productive in the assists department as well and it's put him tied for 10th on the league's scoring charts.
