Ryan Fitzpatrick To Continue His Career In Washington
4 years agoVeteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick reached an agreement with the Washington Football Team on a one-year deal worth $10 million on Monday night, according to a source. The total value of the deal could grow to $12 million with incentives. Fitzpatrick is expected to head to training camp as the starter, but he'll have competition from Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen. Fitz can play at a solid level at a cheap cost, which will allow Washington to build the rest of their roster on offense. The 38-year-old is entering his 17th NFL season and is the only QB in history to start and throw touchdowns with eight different teams. If Fitzpatrick retains the starting job, he could have some decent games for fantasy managers as a QB2 with Terry McLaurin and Logan Thomas as his primary weapons in the passing game.
