Russell Westbrook Records Historic 10th Straight Triple-Double
Russell Westbrook continued to make triple-double history during Monday’s victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, logging his 10th consecutive triple-double, which passes Wilt Chamberlain for the all-time mark. Westbrook’s stat line was far from pretty -- he shot 5-for-19 overall, including 1-for-6 from three while committing six turnovers -- but he ultimately finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists. His scoring average is the lowest it has been since the 2009-10 season, but he has picked up the slack by averaging 11.2 assists per contest, tops in the league. Owners can keep riding the Westbrook wave with his next game coming against an up-tempo Pelicans club Thursday.
