Ross Fisher Looks To Make First U.S. Open Cut Since 2009
7 years agoOnce thought to be the next golf superstar from England, Ross Fisher has never been able to find his footing in the United States. Fisher has five career international victories, but has never won on the PGA Tour. The Englishman has not found any recent success in the states, missing four of six cuts on the PGA Tour this year. Fisher finished in an impressive tie for fifth in the 2009 U.S. Open, but has missed the cut in just two appearances in the U.S. Open since then. Fisher showed some signs of life just two weeks ago by finishing in a tie for eight at the BMW PGA Championship in his native England, but promptly followed that tournament with a missed cut at the Italian Open. He is not in DFS consideration this week.
