When asked about Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell on Wednesday, head coach Ron Rivera said not to sleep on veteran Jacoby Brissett. Although Howell is the presumed Week 1 starter, the Commanders haven't officially given him the job in what has been a competition between Howell and Brissett. The 30-year-old Brissett did a commendable job leading the Cleveland Browns offense last year while Deshaun Watson was suspended, and he could be a short-term option for Washington if they don't think Howell is quite ready to start the season. The Commanders' QB situation could go back and forth throughout the year, so it's a situation to avoid in fantasy leagues unless you're in need of a QB2 in superflex leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
