A familiar face will be returning to the Rockets sideline by the end of the month as the team's defensive coordinator from last year, Jeff Bzdelik, will rejoin the team. Bzdelik retired before the season for family reasons, but Houston's defense has struggled without him. According to Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic, the Rockets are 26th in points per possession allowed this year after ranking ninth last year.
