Robert Stock Starting Against Reds Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets right-hander Robert Stock will make the start on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. The Mets had been leaning towards giving Stock the spot start, but now it's official. Stock threw an inning for Triple-A Syracuse, so he probably won't have a very long leash in this one despite pitching six innings in the minors last week. In his only two major leagues starts, which have both come this year (one with the Mets, one for the Chicago Cubs), the 31-year-old has allowed seven earned runs on eight hits (two home runs) while striking out eight and walking eight in eight innings pitched. Stock will be an extremely risky, low-upside streaming option against a power Reds lineup on Tuesday.
