Robert Griffin III Removed In Fourth Quarter
4 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Robert Griffin III (leg) was replaced in the fourth quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Steelers by Trace McSorley, and Griffin's leg was wrapped on the sideline after he appeared to tweak his hamstring on a run earlier in the game. The former second overall pick by Washington was just 7-for-12 for 33 yards and a pick-six against Pittsburgh before leaving the game, also adding 68 rushing yards on seven carries. Griffin predictably struggles against one of the toughest defenses in the league in place of Lamar Jackson, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week. It's unknown if Jackson will be able to return in time for Week 13's contest against the Cowboys, but if he can't and Griffin remains out, it would be McSorley making his first career start. Baltimore desperately needs last year's MVP back under center.
