Rob Refsnyder Signed To One-Year Extension
2 years agoThe Boston Red Sox signed outfielder Rob Refsnyder to a one-year, $1.85 million contract extension on Saturday. The deal includes a $2 million team option for 2025. The 32-year-old is earning $1.2 million this year and is currently hitting a strong .284 with a .408 on-base percentage, .383 slugging percentage, .791 OPS, a homer, five doubles, 13 runs scored, 17 RBI, 15 walks and 21 strikeouts in 33 games (98 plate appearances). He's been especially useful against lefties, going 19-for-52 (.365) with a homer, three doubles and 13 RBI against them. Refsnyder can also play the infield and gives the Red Sox plenty of lineup versatility. He's a better real-life asset than a fantasy one, but he's been useful in AL-only leagues and DFS when facing a lefty.
