Free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman pleaded not guilty to five misdemeanors on Friday. The 10-year veteran was charged with driving under the influence, reckless endangerment of roadway workers, criminal trespass in the second degree, resisting arrest and malicious mischief in the third degree. "I am deeply remorseful for my actions on Tuesday night," Sherman said in a statement posted on social media. "I behaved in a manner I am not proud of. I have been dealing with some personal challenges over the last several months, but that is not an excuse for how I acted." The 33-year-old's next pre-trial hearing is set for Aug. 13. Sherman was hoping to latch on with a team before training camp, but that's probably unlikely now, especially because he could be facing a suspension from the league.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
