Rich Hill Turns In Quality Start In No-Decision
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Rich Hill allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk with six strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the New York Mets. He threw 76 of his 104 pitches for strikes in the quality start, including first-pitch strikes to 19 of the 25 batters he faced. Once Hill departed the floodgates opened, as Yimi Garcia, Dylan Floro, Scott Alexander and Ross Stripling turned a 2-2 game into a 7-3 deficit in the matter of two innings. Hill will look for better relief when he takes the ball on Sunday afternoon against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies.
