Rhys Hoskins Receiving A Breather Against Cubbies
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins will take the night off on Thursday against the Chicago Cubs. It's just a routine day of rest. Hoskins has been fantastic so far in July in six games, going 8-for-21 (.381) with three home runs, nine RBI, three walks and four strikeouts. It's raised his overall slash line on the year to .233/.310/.486, and he's added 20 long balls and 53 RBI for his fantasy managers in 355 plate appearances. Look to get him back into your lineups on Friday night. Brad Miller will get the start at first base and will hit in the two-hole against Cubs right-hander Adbert Alzolay on Friday. Alzolay has struggled against lefties this year, so Miller makes for an acceptable DFS sleeper, albeit without a ton of upside in the counting stats.
