Oakland Athletics outfielder/designated hitter Renato Nuñez (hamstring) is still unable to play in spring training games. According to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Athletics are not sure if Nunez will get enough time to be ready for the season. He is currently doing some work, including hitting and taking grounders. Nunez is out of options, so he will likely start the season on the active roster if the Athletics keep him. Nunez only has 30 professional at-bats across two seasons. He has primarily been utilized in a platoon situation, as his best split thus far is a .173 average against left-handed pitchers. Nunez is not a fantasy option.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
