Rashan Gary To Be On "Pitch Count" To Start The Year
1 year agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that linebacker Rashan Gary (knee) will be on a "pitch count" to start the 2023 regular season in his return from last November's ACL tear. LaFleur has raved about how Gary approached his rehab and his return, and it looks as though he'll be active in Week 1 against the division-rival Chicago Bears. When fully healthy, the 25-year-old is a key cog in the middle of Green Bay's defense. In only nine games played in 2022 before tearing his ACL, Gary had 32 tackles (21 solo), six sacks, seven tackles for loss, 12 QB hits, a forced fumble and a fumble return. In 16 starts the previous year, Gary produced a career-high 9.5 sacks and 47 tackles (27 solo). For now, those in IDP fantasy leagues can ignore Gary.
