Raheem Mostert Doesn't Practice Wednesday
2 years agoMiami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) missed Wednesday's practice with a knee injury. Tight end Durham Smythe (hamstring) was also sidelined. Mostert played 69 percent of the offensive snaps in the Week 5 loss to the New York Jets, handling a season-high 18 carries for 113 yards and a touchdown while adding one reception for a nine-yard gain. Meanwhile, Chase Edmonds saw just one touch and played a season-low 15 percent of the snaps. It's a bit of a surprise that Mostert is on the injury list, but if he's able to return to practice on Thursday, he should have a good chance of playing and leading Miami's backfield this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. If Mostert is limited or out this weekend, Edmonds and Myles Gaskin would likely split touches in Week 6.
