Raekwon Davis Could Return This Week
3 years agoMiami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said the team is hopeful that defensive tackle Raekwon Davis (knee) can return to practice this week now that he's eligible to return from Injured Reserve. Cornerback Byron Jones (quadriceps) is day-to-day after getting injured in the Week 4 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Davis suffered a knee injury in the season opener and has been out since, but the 24-year-old could be ready to play in Week 5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if he returns to practice and doesn't suffer any setbacks. The Dolphins will have 21 days to activate him to the active roster once he officially comes off IR. Miami's defense/special teams should be avoided against Tom Brady and the Bucs this weekend.
