5 months agoThe Philadelphia Flyers traded defenseman Radko Gudas to the Washington Capitals for defenseman Matt Niskanen. It's the first deal between the organizations for two full-time NHL players since the Caps entered the league in 1974. Gudas gives the Caps some much-needed sandpaper, or toughness, as they look to enhance their roster for another postseason run. Gudas is a physical presence, posting four goals and 20 points, but he also added 133 blocked shots while ranking 10th in the NHL with 255 hits. That's where fantasy owners obviously find him most valuable.--Daniel E. Dobish - RotoBaller
