Philip Rivers May Be Playing His Final Game For The Chargers
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is facing a precipice on Sunday when he suits up against the Chiefs. It may be his final game as the quarterback of the Chargers. Rivers is coming to the end of a possibly Hall of Fame-worthy career, but with no contract tying him down for next year and LA facing a crisis due to Rivers' struggles this season, the two could part ways. Rivers has already made it clear that he wants to play again next year, but that doesn't necessarily mean in southern California. For this week, he'll have one last tough matchup when he travels to Kansas City. He's also been limited in practice due to the thumb injury he suffered last week, but no one expects him to miss any time due to it. Rivers threw four interceptions in his last meeting with the Chiefs, and most owners should probably look elsewhere this week if they can. Rivers will likely struggle once again since the Chiefs are bringing a serious defense to the table now.
