With the 19th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, the Philadelphia Flyers selected center Jay O'Brien out of Thayer Academy in the US High School Preparatory League. O'Brien weighs in at 5-foot-11 and 176 pounds and scored 43 goals and 37 assists for 80 points in 30 games with Thayer Academy and will commit to Providence College next season. O'Brien was given accolades for his solid shot and hockey IQ and will add to the list of prospects that belong to the Flyers. He should not be drafted in any redraft formats.--Caden
