Phil Mickelson entered the weekend just three shots behind the Safeway Open leader, but faded over his final 36 holes. After opening-rounds of 65 and 69, Mickelson could only manage scores of 74 and 72 in his final two rounds at Silverado North. His score of eight-under par for the tournament was good for a share of 17th place in the 2019 PGA Tour season-opening event. The past month has been difficult for the left-handed legend, as he struggled in the FedEx Cup playoffs and was a complete disaster at the recent Ryder Cup in Paris. The 48-year-old recently said that he would significantly reduce his playing schedule in 2019. Mickelson will not be in action at the upcoming CIMB Classic. --Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
