6 years agoPhil Mickelson was named to the U.S. Ryder Cup team Tuesday afternoon. The veteran failed to qualify for the team via points, but earned one of Captain Jim Furyk's four "Captain's Picks". Mickelson has certainly proven his worth over the past two weeks by logging consecutive top-15 finishes in the Northern Trust and Dell Technologies Championship. His play has vaulted him to ninth in the FedEx Cup point standings. Mickelson is a streaky player and should be on DFS radars for the upcoming BMW Championship.
